2024, 36in x 46in, original, acrylic paint and modeling paste on canvas.
Inspired by the myth of Atlantis, this work is built through layered textures, flowing forms, and depth-driven composition. The surface was developed to create a sense of movement and dimension, shifting the space between concealment and revelation.
Through the buildup of various materials and gradual transitions in color and structure, the piece creates visual depth—inviting the viewer to look closer and experience the work over time. The layered application allows light and shadow to interact across the surface, revealing details slowly rather than all at once.
Rather than illustrating the legend directly, this work responds to its atmosphere—using texture, layering, and spatial balance to explore memory, loss, and the feeling of something submerged yet present.
